Lambert is the daughter of country songwriter and guitarist Rick Lambert. So also they played with 16 guitar and wrote their own songs. She founded the Texas Pride Band, with she performed professionally. With the support of her father, she took her 2001 debut album, which bears her name. In addition, she participated in talent competitions, which you among others a small role in the film Naughty beasts! earned.
In 2003, she won the local excretion for the Nashville Star. The televised finals of the talent show, she finished as third place and had thus gained a record deal. Their debut album on Epic Records called Kerosene and popped straight to No. 1 on the country charts. Over 100 weeks, it stayed there and sold in time over one million units ( platinum status ).
Two years later, the next album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was No. 1 on the country albums and the top 10 of the general sales charts again. This album was awarded a gold record. Again biennial album number three appeared Revolution, which also reached # 1 on the country charts.
Lambert has been nominated three times for a Grammy Award (2007, 2008 and 2010) and won it in 2011 in the Best Female Country Vocal Performance category for The House That Built Me
On 14 May 2011 she married her colleagues in Texas Blake Shelton.
