Mireya Luis

Alejandrina Mireya Luis Hernández ( born February 25, 1967 in Camagüey ) is a Cuban former volleyball player.

Mireya Luis won with the Cuban national volleyball team in 1992, 1996 and 2000, three times in a row, the gold medal at the Olympics, and two gold medals at the World Championships in 1994 and 1998. Moreover, she received at several international competitions individual honors as the best striker.

Mireya Luis is one of the best volleyball players of all times. Particularly striking were their spectacular jumps, where they apparently still rose higher a level.
