Further expansion

On 6 December 2011, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Malaysia, Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri announced to expand the Miri airport after passenger numbers in the first 9 months of 2011 by 9.7% from 1.23 million in the same period last year to 1.35 million have increased.
