Miroslav Krleža Lexicographical Institute

The Yugoslav Lexicographic Institute ( Serbo-Croatian: Jugoslavenski leksikografski zavod ) was the national Lexicographic Institute of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

History

The Institute was founded in 1950 under the name " Lexikografisches Institute of the Federal Peoples Republic of Yugoslavia" ( Leksikografski zavod FNRJ ) and in 1964 in " Yugoslavian Lexikografisches Institute " ( Jugoslavenski leksikografski zavod ) renamed. Head of the Institute was Miroslav Krleža, with Mate Ujević as editor in chief. The Institute had its seat in Zagreb and maintained offices in Ljubljana and Belgrade.

After Krleza death in 1981, the institute into the " Yugoslav Lexicographic Institute " Miroslav Krleža " was renamed " ( Jugoslavenski leksikografski zavod " Miroslav Krleža ").

After the collapse of Yugoslavia " Lexicographic Institute Miroslav Krleža " ( Leksikografski zavod " Miroslav Krleža " ), it was renamed the one that became the national lexicographic Institute of Croatia.

Publications

The Yugoslav Lexicographical Institute employs numerous scientists from all disciplines and was next to general and specialized reference books and maps and guidebooks out. Some notable works that have been started or completed by the Institute are:
