Mirusia Louwerse

Mirusia Louwerse ( born March 29, 1985 in Brisbane ) is an Australian- Dutch soprano.

Mirusia Louwerse was born in 1985 in the Australian city of Brisbane. She graduated in December 2006, the Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane with the degree Bachelor of Music in classical singing from. Mirusia Louwerse won in 2006 as youngest ever winner of the Joan Sutherland Opera Award and took her debut album entitled She Walks in Beauty on.

Mirusia, wearing only her first name as a stage name, is lyric soprano and entered as The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, L' Enfant et les Sortilèges by Maurice Ravel and Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten operas.

In German-speaking Mirusia 2007, known by their participation in various tours of the Dutch violinist and conductor Andre Rieu. Mirusia, which is Dutch- Polish descent, also speaks fluent Dutch in addition to their native English. Together with André Rieu she published in May 2008 in Australia, the album titled Waltzing Matilda, which brought it into the Australian charts at position 1 and was awarded within ten days with platinum.

Mirusias also supported by Rieu recorded second album Always & Forever was released in Australia on 8 October 2010 and was ranked 17 in the ARIA charts. Also in the Dutch charts the album was successful.
