Mirza Džomba ( born February 28, 1977 in Rijeka, Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian handball player who played in the outside right position. In his position, he was considered one of the best players in the world.
Career
About the clubs Badel Zagreb and Fotex Veszprém he arrived at the club BM Ciudad Real. With these clubs, he got a total of 6 times in the Champions League final, but could only win once with Ciudad Real the title. In 2007 he returned to RK Zagreb. From the summer of 2010, he ran on for the Polish club KS Vive Kielce, where he but after just one season had to vacate his seat. After Džomba found no new club in the summer of 2011, he finished his career.
In the Croatian national team, with whom he won a world championship and a gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games, it is an important pillar. At the 2004 European Championships in Slovenia, where Croatia won the 4th place, he was charged with 46 goals scorer of the tournament. At the Olympic Handball Tournament 2004, he was the second highest scorer.
