The Miskito are an indigenous people who today lives primarily on the Atlantic coast on the border of Nicaragua and Honduras. In Nicaragua still live over 100,000 people in this ethnic group. The local settlement centers are located in the RAAN (North Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua, also known as Miskito Coast ), with its capital Bilwi (Puerto Cabezas ) and with the city on the river Waspan Wangki (Rio Coco ).
