Miss Estonia

Miss Estonia is a national beauty pageant for unmarried women in Estonia, which was first held in 1923. Domestically, it is also called Eesti Miss Estonia.

First event was in 1923 and 1925, the Film Society Estonia movie, the young talents looking for. This was followed from 1929 to 1932, the newspaper Päevaleht. The competition has not been held for several decades. From 1940, Estonia was part of the Soviet Union. The Second World War and the rule of communism prevented further events. Only shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union allowed political liberalization ( perestroika ) a new beginning.
