Miss Gibraltar

Miss Gibraltar is a beauty contest in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, which has been conducted since 1959. Participants must have been born in Gibraltar or have British citizenship and had at least 5 years residing on the peninsula.

The first event was organized in 1959 by the newspaper Vox. The winner was married, but that contradicted his time not yet the conditions of participation. Only when the competition was revived in 1964 by the television company GBC Television, the candidates had to be single and childless. Today's organizer is the Gibraltar Tourist Office. The winners will participate in the Miss World contest. 2009 Kaiane Aldorino won for the first time a Miss Gibraltar this item.
