Missionaries of the Precious Blood

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood (Latin: Congregation Missionariorum Pretiosissimi Sanguinis Domini Nostri Jesus Christ, Religious symbol: CPPS ) is a society of apostolic life with the seat of the General Government in Rome. It was founded in 1815 by Gaspare del Bufalo in the Abbey of San Felice in Giano dell ' Umbria, Italy. The community has about 673 members in 2011 in seven provinces: Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, Iberia, Italy, Poland, Canada and two in the United States. Curacies there are in Brazil, Chile, India and Tanzania. Moderator General is Francesco Bartoloni, who succeeded in 2007 Barry Fischer.
