Mister Buddwing

Face without a name is an American film drama from 1966, the director Delbert Mann based on the novel by Evan Hunter Buddwing staged.

Action

On a bench in Central Park wakes up a man and can not remember anything more. He knows nothing about his life and his past. The only clue he has is a note with a phone number, which he finds in his pocket. Accidentally he chooses the wrong number and reaches the sleepy Gloria, who considers him her drunken husband. He introduces himself to her as Mister Buddwing before, a name combination of a truck with beer and a charge across withdrawing aircraft.

The film won two Oscar nominations in 1967, one for Best Production Design ( s / w) of George W. Davis, Paul Size, Henry Grace and Hugh Hunt and one for Best Costume Design ( B / W) by Helen Rose.

Background
