Mister Mugg is an American comedy film directed by James W. Horne. The short film witnessed on 10 May 1933 its U.S. premiere.
Action
Jimmy Gleason plays the quick-witted in every respect bodyguard. He is given the task to protect the character played by Dorothy Christie woman in front of her lover. The two men comes to a fight in a bar, gets out of control. When the police arrive, saves Gleason Christie, in which he has long been in love.
Criticism
The Motion Picture Herald called the film "a good, lively comedy" and found that especially Jimmy Gleason lift the film above mediocrity.
Awards
Mister Mugg 1934 for an Oscar in the category " Best Short Film - Comedy " nomination, but could not free himself from So This Is Harris! prevail.
