Mister World

Mister World or Mr World is an international beauty contest for men. As a counterpart to the Miss World election designed, the competition is organized by the Miss World Organization since 1996.

The beauty contest was first held in September 1996 with 50 participants in Istanbul, Turkey. Originally the event like the Miss World beauty pageant to be held annually. In the past, the competition was organized, however, in the alternation of two to four years.

As with the Miss World election, the candidates are usually in national competitions (eg Mister Germany, Mister Austria ) determined. The election will take place for several weeks, in which the competitors have to compete in sports, talent and Kochwettbwerben and fashion shows. The winner will be selected by an international jury during a live televised gala and receives next to advertising contracts, a blue scarf. As with the Miss World beauty pageant special prices ( "Mr Personality", "Mr Photogenic ," " Best Talent" ) will be awarded sporadically.

The last Mister- World - election was held for three weeks in March 2007 in the Chinese Sanya. The 56 candidates had to take part in several competitions in the categories of style, strength, stamina and mental abilities. In addition to a number of sports (among individual and team competitions in strength sports, climbing and rafting) found for example, tests in the disciplines of cooking and mixing cocktails instead. The final was broadcast live on March 31 on TV in over 100 countries and reached 1.4 billion viewers. 2010 was the sixth beauty contest for Mister World place from 11 to 27 March 2010 at the Korean Incheon. The winner was determined by 74 participants and receives endorsements and prize money in the amount of U.S. $ 50,000 ( approximately EUR 36 535 ).
