MiTAC
MiTAC is a Taiwanese computer company. It was founded on December 8, 1982, provides high-end workstations, servers, and mobile and navigation devices forth. The company employs 28,000 people in Taiwan, the PRC, the USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany and Japan.
1999 MiTAC participated in the motherboard manufacturer Tyan, which was taken over completely in 2007. In the same year the navigation device manufacturer Navman has been incorporated and affiliated with the MiTAC Mio Technology subsidiary. Mio Technology is the third largest manufacturer in the world according to TomTom navigation devices and Garmin. In January 2009, the U.S. Magellan GPS Navigation manufacturer was acquired.
