Mithridates III of Parthia

Mithridates III. , Persian مهرداد Mehrdad [ meɦrdɔ ː d] († 53 BC ) was a Parthian king, who reigned from 55 BC to 57 BC.

Mithridates III. was a son of Phraates III. Mithridates III. and his brother Orodes II had murdered her father and fought after the death of his father to rule in Parthia. He was first ruler in the media, but tried to extend his power over the whole empire. He requested this assistance from the Romans, but was denied. His reign seems to have all the same but also extends to Babylonia. However, he was murdered after a short reign of his brother Orodes II.
