Mitja Robar

Mitja Robar ( born January 4, 1983 in Maribor, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who stands in January 2012 in the Krefeld Penguins in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Mitja Robar began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HDK Maribor Stavbar, for the first team, he was active from 1999 to 2004 in the Slovenian Hockey League. In the 2003 /04 season he played in parallel for the HK Slavija Ljubljana. From 2004 to 2006, the counsel for the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana ran on. He then spent five years at HK Jesenice, for he stood in the Austrian Hockey League on the ice. In parallel, he took part with the team on the Slovenian championship. In the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, he was with Jesenice Slovenia four times in a row champion.

The 2011/12 season began as Robar Players out on loan to Växjö Lakers Hockey in Sweden. However, the team loaned him immediately from the IK Oskarshamn from the third-tier Division 1. In the rest of the season, he played eleven times for Lukko Rauma of the Finnish SM- liiga. In January 2012, the Slovenian national team was finally obliged by the Krefeld Penguins of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. By the end of the season in 17 DEL games, he scored a goal for Krefeld and four assists.

Internationally

For Slovenia Robar took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships Division II 2001 and the U20 World Junior Championships Division I in 2002 and 2003. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships Division I 2004, 2007 and 2009 and the World Championship of Division IA 2012. Moreover, he represented Slovenia at the World Championships in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011.
