Mitja Schäfer

Mitja Shepherd ( born February 27, 1980 in Cologne ) is a German football player. He is a midfielder and plays from the 2010/11 season at Fortuna Cologne.

Career

Up to the age of 19 Shepherd played for TuS height house, a club from Cologne - level house. From 1998 to 2004 he played with the amateurs of the 1st FC Cologne. From 2004 to 2006 he was at LR Ahlen, today Rot Weiss Ahlen, under contract. After the descent of Ahlen in the regional league, he moved to Erzgebirge Aue. In Aue he came in the 2006/07 season only rarely used, so he moved to second division relegated Rot-Weiss Essen for the season 2007/ 08. From 2008 to 2010 Shepherd played under his former coach Christoph John for the Wuppertal SV Borussia. On 14 June 2010 he gave his only change to the NRW -division club Fortuna Köln known where he signed a two-year contract and 2010/11 rose to the Regionalliga West.
