Mitsubishi ASX (2010-2012)

The Mitsubishi ASX ( RVR in Japan Mitsubishi, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in North America ) is a so-called crossover model of the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors and is based on the concept car Mitsubishi Concept - cX, which was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007.

History

Based on the Mitsubishi RVR since February 2010 sold in Japan, the ASX is powered by a 86 kW ( 117 hp ) payable 1.6-liter gasoline engine or a 1.8-liter diesel engine with variable valve timing and 110 kW ( 150 hp) driven. The diesel variant has the world's first diesel car over a variable valve timing ( MIVEC ) and is also available with front - or all-wheel drive. Like the Mitsubishi Colt is also the ASX equipped with the " ClearTec " package for the reduction of CO2 emissions.

The wheelbase of the Mitsubishi ASX is, as with the Mitsubishi Outlander, 2670 millimeters.

The launch in Europe on 19 June 2010.

Since June 2012, sold with Citroën C4 Aircross and Peugeot 4008 two sister models of the ASX, which are also produced at Mitsubishi.

Motors

The Mitsubishi ASX is available in a petrol and a diesel version. However, the all-wheel drive ( Permanent all-wheel drive Mitsubishi All Wheel Control ( AWC) ) will be delivered only in combination with the diesel engine.

Facelift

In October 2012, the ASX was visually slightly revised.

The facelift is especially noticeable at the front on a modified radiator grille and on the other bumpers. For the motors, no changes were made.
