Mitsubishi Chariot

The Mitsubishi Space Wagon (in Japan Chariot and Chariot Grandis ) is a car model of the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors. Except for the diesel engine could be ordered optionally either an all-wheel drive or a three -speed automatic transmission.

The direct-injection version of the gasoline engine for Europe, which was offered from mid-1988 with catalyst, said Space Wagon GLXi 2000 and has at the same cubic capacity 75 kW. It replaced all previous versions with a gasoline engine.

Space Wagon (type N30/N40, 1991-1998 )

The second generation Space Wagon was offered from the fall of 1991 with a completely revamped body and two petrol engines and one diesel. Now a 1.8 - liter engine with 90 kW and a 2.0 - liter engine was a choice. The latter largely corresponds to the 75 kW engine of the previous model, but now with 16 valves and increased to 98 kW. Space Wagon (type N50, 1998-2004)

The third generation went on sale in October 1998.

Initially, only a 2.4 -liter GDI engine with 110 kW was available, which was also available with all-wheel drive. As of 2002, there was also a 2.0 - liter engine with 98 kW. From 1999 to 2001, a 3.0-liter V6 version with all-wheel drive and 158 kW was offered, but not for the German market. The end of 2004 the production of the last representative of the Space Wagon series was discontinued. The successor was the Mitsubishi Grandis.
