Mitsubishi Pajero Mini II

The Mitsubishi Pajero Mini was an SUV in the Japanese Kei -car class, which produced Mitsubishi Motors from 1994 to 2012. Using badge engineering, the model from 2008 to 2012 was marketed as Nissan Kix.

Mitsubishi Pajero Mini H51/56A 1994-1998

Based on the platform of Mitsubishi Minicab Mitsubishi produced from December 1994 Pajero Mini, a miniature version of the successful Mitsubishi Pajero. Compared to the original Mini had the shorter dimensions and a 660cm ³ SOHC naturally aspirated engine with 37 kW (type 4A31 ) by means DOHC turbocharged 48 kW. The power transmission for the standard all-wheel drive was carried out using 5 - speed manual or 3- speed automatic transmission. The big sales success inspired Mitsubishi to launch several limited editions such as " Iron Cross", "Desert Cruiser", "White Skipper" and "Duke". In October 1998, the Japanese kei car regulations were updated and the Pajero Mini was widened and lengthened.

Mitsubishi Pajero Mini H53/58A 1998-2012

From 1998 offered Mitsubishi Pajero Mini the revised now in addition to the 4WD version as a pure rear-wheel drive version. In addition, there was also the optional Easy Select 4WD, with which one could disable or enable the all-wheel drive while driving. Instead of 3 - there was now an optional 4- speed automatic transmission. Also new was a Sport 4WD equipped with a turbocharged DOHC engine. This version improved the efficiency of the intake system and exhaust system by the incorporation of 5 valves per cylinder ( 20 in total) and reduced fuel consumption compared to the previous Turbo model. In addition, there was a rear spoiler and 175/80R15-Reifen. 2008 was a major facelift with changes in both the exterior design, as well as an appreciation of the dashboard. The production of the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini ended in June 2012.

Nissan Kix 2008-2012

As of 2008, there was the Mitsubishi Nissan Kix, an OEM version of the Pajero Mini for sale in similar manner as the Mitsubishi eK and Nissan Otti. The Kix was sold in Japan about the Mitsubishi Galant shop and production ended well in June 2012.
