Mitsubishi Proudia

The Mitsubishi Proudia is a service offered by the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi in Japan only sedan in the luxury class.

First generation (1999-2001)

Mitsubishi Proudia I

The first generation Mitsubishi Proudia was produced from late 1999 to March 2001. The name is a portmanteau composed of the words proud ( proud ) and diamond ( the company logo represents a diamond ). The Proudia and its larger sister model Mitsubishi Dignity developed in conjunction with the South Korean company Hyundai, which sold its own version called the Hyundai Equus.

The Proudia was available in three versions, as Proudia A, B or C. In Proudia A and B caused a 3.5 -liter V6 with 240 horsepower for the drive, the C a newly developed by Mitsubishi 4.5 -liter V8 with direct injection, the developed 280 hp.

Proudia and Dignity stayed only 15 months in the program, as was forced due to financial problems, Mitsubishi to cease the construction of the models to reduce costs and to purify his model program.
