Mitsuko Aoyama

Mitsuko Maria Thekla Coudenhove- Kalergi (* July 7, 1874 in Tokyo, † August 27, 1941 in Vienna) was wife of the Austro- Hungarian diplomat Count Heinrich von Coudenhove- Kalergi and mother of Richard Nikolaus Graf Coudenhove -Kalergi.

Life

Mitsuko Coudenhove- Kalergi, born Aoyama (青山) was, in 1874 as a daughter of an antiques and oil dealer in Ushigome (today: Shinjuku, Tokyo) was born. At the age of 17, she learned the Austro- Hungarian Minister Heinrich Coudenhove- Kalergi know. The two married with the consent of the Austrian and Japanese Ministries of Foreign Affairs on 16 March 1892 in Tokyo.
