Mittenwalde (Uckermark)

Middle of the woods is a municipality in the district Uckermark in Brandenburg ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Gerswalde based in Gerswalde.

Geography

The community in the region Uckermark lies between the cities Prenzlau and Templin. The territory extends to the edge of the biosphere reserve Schorfheide -Chorin. The hilly area reaches a height of 90 m above sea level. North of the center forest beautiful bays, surrounded by marshy meadows Kuhz lake is located as part of the Uckermärkischen lakes.

Transport links

About the approximately 18 kilometers away junction Pfingstberg in the community Flieth - Stegelitz Mittenwalde is connected to the A11, which runs between Berlin and Szczecin. By the middle of the forest, the B 109, which runs from Berlin to Greifswald leads. South of middle of the forest branches the important link road over Templin, Zehdenick and love the forest to Berlin from, which was extended from 2005 to the new B 109. The middle of the forest station is located on the 2000 disused railway Templin Prenzlau.

Attractions

In the list of monuments in the middle of the forest (Uckermark) are registered in the list of monuments of Brandenburg monuments. This includes, among other things, the Mittenwald church from the second half of the 13th century. The manor house of the estate Blankensee was built around the year 1869 by the family von Arnim.
