Mityana District

Mityana is a district (municipality) in central Uganda with 269 763 inhabitants. Like almost all 78 districts of Uganda, he is named after its chief town.

The Mityana district was (along with 13 other districts ) new formed on 1 July 2005 by the County Mityana and Busujju were separated from the neighboring district of Mubende.
