Miura Peninsula

Geographical location

The Miura Peninsula (Japanese三浦 半岛, Miura Hanto ) is a peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.

It lies south of Yokohama and Tokyo and divides Tokyo Bay, to the east of the Sagami Bay in the west. Among the municipalities and cities on the peninsula include Yokosuka, Miura, Hayama, Zushi, and Kamakura.

The Samurai transported to the English navigator William Adams, who was also called Miura Anjin ( Miura Navigator ), received a fief on the peninsula.
