Mixotoxodon was a genus of extinct Notoungulata that occurred during the Pleistocene in the northern parts of South America and in Central America. The animals saw the closely related genus Toxodon similar and are likely a similar ecological niche, probably comparable to that of a modern hippo, have occupied. The type Mixotoxodon larensis survived until the late Pleistocene.
