Mixu Paatelainen

Mika -Matti Petteri " Mixu " Paatelainen ( born February 3, 1967 in Helsinki) is a former football player and current coach. With 70 caps and 18 international goals is Paatelainen used on the eight most common Finnish national team and the third- leading scorer.

With Mikko and Markus he has two younger brothers who are also active as a football player. Already her father Matti Paatelainen (* 1944) was a successful and prolific football player, who also acted as a regular in the Finnish national team. Its twin brother Heikki, the uncle of the three brothers, was also active as a football player, but could not connect to the great success of his brother.

In October 1987, signed a contract with the Scottish Paatelainen club Dundee United and changed hands for £ 100,000 by the Finnish club FC Haka on the island. Coach

During his last stops as a player alongside Paatelainen had worked as a coach in 2005, he took over his first head coaching job at fourth division club FC Cowdenbeath. The Finn pledged his brothers Mikko ( b. 1980 ), a striker and Markus ( b. 1983 ), an attacking midfielder. In his only season at Cowdenbeath, he was first and went up to the third tier. In 2006 he was a coach at a Finnish club, Turku PS, obliged. He finished 2007 ranked third and qualified with his team for the UEFA Intertoto Cup. On 10 January 2008 took over Paatelainen Hibernian, who had at that time only one of the last ten games won.

There he experienced a mixed time and had to finish the season 2008/ 09 finally left the club again, after he had Hibs out in 6th place.
