Miyako (Fukuoka)

Miyako (Japaneseみやこ 町, machi ) is a town in Miyako -gun in the Japanese prefecture of Fukuoka.

History

Miyako was born on 20 March 2006 from the merger of Machi Katsuyama, Saigawa and Toyotsu.

In Toyotsu remains were found from the Palaeolithic, the Jōmon, Yayoi and the Kofun period.
