Mizuho ÅŒta

Mizuho Ōta (Japanese太 田 水 穂, civil: Teiichi Ōta (太 田 贞 一) * December 9, 1876; † January 1, 1955 ) was a Japanese writer.

During his studies at Shinshu University Ōta learned classical poetry collections such as Man'yōshū and Kokinshu know and published his own poems in the literary magazine Bungakukai (文学界). After graduating, he taught at the Girls' High School Matsumoto (now high school Matsumoto Arigasaki ). At the same time, he and lyricist Kubota Utsubo Waka magazine Konohana Kai (この 花会).

Larger gained fame Ōta by the publication of poetry anthologies tsuyukusa (つゆ 艸; 1903) and Sanjō Kojo (山上 湖 上, 1906) with his school friend Shimaki Akahiko. In 1908 he joined the staff of the newspaper Shinano Mainichi (信 浓 毎 日 新闻). In the following year he became professor of ethics at the Nippon Shika Daigaku ( "Japanese College of Dental Medicine "). In 1910 he married the poet Mitsuko Shiga. In 1915 he founded the Tanka magazine Choon (潮音) and increasingly turned to literary history and scientific work on.
