Mladenovac

Mladenovac ( Serbian Cyrillic Младеновац ) is a Serbian town in the region Šumadija in the district of Belgrade. The community Mladenovac extends over an area of ​​33,900 hectares and is one of 52 490 inhabitants.

According to legend, the origin of the name is associated with a man named Mladen in conjunction, who settled after the Battle of Kosovo with his two brothers in this desolate region. The brothers parted and the place where Mladen had settled, Mladenovac was called. The first official data on a settlement in this area are mentioned in the Turkish census of 1528. For the community of Belgrade municipalities Mladenovac heard since 1971.
