Møllehøj

Møllehøj is 170.86 meters, the highest natural point in Denmark. It is located in the municipality of Skanderborg in East Jutland and is 51 cm higher than the 200 meters to the east located Ejer Bavnehøj.

From 1838 to 1917 a windmill was on the Møllehøj, the highest point is today marked by the millstone. Today it is a working farm. The survey was only in 2005 generally known, found as a new, more precise measurement methods, the exact amount. Moreover, the fact it was considered that the man- on the summit and flanks of the mountain Yding Skovhøj landfills - have been identified as burial mounds from the Bronze Age - can not be considered.

In the official map series and Danish teaching and textbooks, the highest point in the country is referred to as Mollehoj - Ejer Bavnehøj.
