MÅ‚oty

Młoty ( German Hammer) is a village in the south of the powiat Kłodzki in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. It belongs to the municipality Bystrzyca Kłodzka ( Habelschwerdt ), from which it is eight kilometers west.

Geography

Młoty located on the eastern slope of the mountains in the valley Habelschwerdter Habelschwerdter Weistritz. Neighboring towns are Paszków in the north, Huta and Zalesie in the northeast, Wójtowice and Nowa Bystrzyca in the east, Spalona in the south, and Mostowice Piaskowice in the southwest and Lasowka in the West. To the south rises the 784 m high Schlösselkoppe ( Zamkowa Kopa ).

History

Hammer was created after the mid-16th century ausgerodetem landesherrlichem Forstgrund as Kammersdorf and 1571 called Hammer City. Since it had no place of worship, it belonged to the parish Habelschwerdt and later came to the parish Voigtsdorf.

Together with other chamber villages in the district Habelschwerdt acquired Hammer 1684 the Glatzer Governor Michael Wenzel von Althann of the rule buckles stone formed from the village communities newly acquired whose capital Rosenthal was, so she was referred to as " rule Rosenthal ". 1684 consisted of 15 pieces Hammer people, four cottagers and a quarry.

After the Silesian Wars Hammer came along with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. After the reorganization of Prussia belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was first incorporated into the county of Glatz. 1818 was reclassified in the newly formed district Habelschwerdt to which it belonged until 1945. Since 1874 it belonged to the district of Altweistritz. 1939 counted 260 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War hammer fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Młoty. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. Many of them left Młoty However, in the next few decades, so that the population has declined significantly. 1975-1998 belonged to Młoty Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
