MlynÄeky
Mlynčeky ( Mühlerchen German, Hungarian Tátraháza ) is a municipality in the north of Slovakia with 652 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It belongs to Okres Kežmarok, a part of the Prešov Region.
Geography
The municipality is located in the pelvis Podtatranská kotlina in the shadow of the High Tatras on Bach Kežmarská Biela voda, a tributary of Poprad. The center is located at an altitude of 680 m nm and is located six kilometers from Kežmarok.
History
Unlike many other towns in the area, the current community came relatively late: the base was a mill town Käsmark in the 18th century, which was come to an inn. In the 19th century, immigrants from Ždiar settled. 1881 here a sanatorium was founded.
1956, the place Mlynčeky was an independent municipality spin-off from Kežmarok.
