MMS Architecture

MM7 is the interface between the Multimedia Message Service Center a mobile network operator and a provider of value-added services (English value-added service provider).

The MM7 interface defines how MMS messages between the other providers and the mobile user can be exchanged. MM7 messages are transmitted using SOAP over HTTP and is encoded in XML. The MM7 interface, is defined in the 3GPP specification TS 23.140.
