Mo' Wax

Mo ' Wax was a British record label that was known between 1992 and 2004 mainly by style-defining publications in the area of ​​trip-hop and thus became one of the most important labels of the genre.

History

James Lavelle, who had already worked in his youth as a plate seller, DJ and party organizer, in the early 1990s worked in London's Honest Jon's record shop. During this time he met the journalist Cynthia Rose know, helped him entitled to a Mo Wax Please column in the magazine Straight No Chaser. Chose the name Lavelle after a series of parties organized by him. The column meant that he received Promos and White Labels many new releases.

Artwork
