Moalandlsee

The Moalandlsee is a mountain lake in Geigenkamm in the Ötztal Alps. This is a cirque lake, it lies at an altitude of 2525 meters above the Pitz Valley and northwest of the Hundstalkogels.

The ascent to the lake leads from Piösmes im Pitztal first to Luibisalm that is not farmed. On a hunting lodge one arrives at the Luibisböden, there branches off to the lake from the ascent route to Luibiskogel to the south. Well first up steep, through one map and a notch to reach the Moalandlsee. Are to be estimated about 3 hours for the journey.

The bounding mountains of violin comb are in the south of Sturpen, east of the towering high above the lake Hundstalkogel, west of the grave Kogel and the northwest of the Wildgratenkogel.
