Mobile Mapping
Mobile mapping is the process for acquiring spatial data from a mobile support platform. These may be motor vehicles, aircraft or helicopter, but also renamed vehicle (UAV ) such as drones, Oktokopter or model helicopter. These mobile carrier platform allow a combination of positioning sensor (GNSS, inertial navigation system INS, DMI ) and measuring sensors ( laser scanners, image sensors, among others, for panoramic images, stereo images, videos, thermal and multispectral ) a very powerful 3D data acquisition. The result of the mapping are Mobile GIS data or digital maps and geo-referenced photos.
