The Moda Center is a multi-purpose arena in the U.S. city of Portland. It serves primarily as a venue for the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA), the Portland Winter Hawks ( WHL ) and the Portland LumberJax ( NLL ), but there are also many other events. By August 2013, the venue was called the Rose Garden or even Rose Garden Arena.

History

The Arena was officially opened on 12 October 1995 and Rose Garden was named to both Portland's reputation as a city of roses reflect, as well as to related to such important arenas in the history of basketball, like Madison Square Garden or the Boston Garden to produce.

By August 2013, the hall was one of the few arenas in the NBA, which had not sold the naming rights. Since mid-August 2013, the Rose Garden is named after the Portland -based health insurance Moda Health. That is the official name Moda Center. They agreed to a ten-year contract.

Overall, the arena has 15,540 permanent seats (including boxes ) which can be extended depending on the configuration by adding temporary seats and standing room for a maximum of 20,630 seats.

Furthermore the Moda Center via a excellent acoustics, which makes it a popular venue for concerts and similar events.
