Modal testing

A vibrating table or shaker table is a technical test device, with the vibration of a part or an entire machine is loaded.

Application

The vibrating table usually produces harmonic oscillations, but there are also other possible waveforms. The evaluation of a plurality of force and acceleration sensors, provides information about the deformation and the natural frequencies of the specimen.

A vibrating table can for example be used for compaction of concrete or bulk materials. Also can be, for example, on a vibrating table Check electromechanical, or electronic components on your vibration down. Often vibrating tables / vibration systems will be integrated into existing systems to compress or distribute products. When some of the numerous areas of application are mentioned as examples: compacting concrete and precast concrete elements, compaction of polymer concrete ( mineral casting ) for machines Bette and machine stand, venting tough media eg Resins, 2- component mixtures, compacting loose bulk materials such as when filling in packaging, bulk bags, gabions, etc. emptying containers, testing of electrical and mechanical components of vibration resistance, compression for the determination of soil parameters according to DIN, venting of viscous liquids.

Depending on the application, the flow into the Rütteltischplatte movement take different forms:

Linear vibration

Classically, the oscillating movement is directed and perpendicular to the table surface. In most applications, this optimum results is achieved. For the production of this movement the piston vibrator can be used for pneumatic operation, which can produce a directional vibration. With an electrically operated vibrating table vibrators can be used. Since this type of construction have a circumferential force vector, two such units must be used. These are arranged axially parallel and operated in opposite directions, creating a self-synchronization takes place. As a result, the force components cancel out in the table plane, whereby the desired sinusoidal oscillation occurs perpendicular to the table top.

Circumferential vibration

In simple applications it may be sufficient circumferential vibration. Here, both electric vibrators, as well as pneumatic ball, roller or turbine vibrators can be used ( with smaller vibrating tables ).
