Modus vivendi

The term modus vivendi (Latin: type ( something to live with ), way of life ) is not used uniformly. Generally is meant by the term a ( tolerable ) agreement, an understanding, and the like.

Under international law, the term temporary understanding between subjects of international law, which is to be replaced later by a definitive agreement; therefore, the provisional arrangements of a dispute, that is an acceptable for both or all sides of the arrangement.
