Moel Hebog

The Moel Hebog is ( [ mɔil hɛbɔɡ ] Welsh for " bald hill of the Hawk " ) is a mountain in Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, Gwynedd County. It is located west of Beddgelert and east of Dolbenmaen. Moel Hebog is actually a group of mountain peaks in the north- west of the national park.

Because of the marked rock formations of the exposed main summit he is a popular destination for geologists and mountaineers. The rock is mostly rhyolitic tuff (mostly existing fragments of quartz tuff ). For mountaineers, allows any of the ascent from Beddgelert, with some other peaks are also on the tour. The view from Moel Hebog of Snowdonia is one of the most photographed.

Main side Moel yr Ogof peaks are ( 655 m) and the Moel Lefn ( 638 m). The whole group consists of a total of 12 summit.
