Mogens Herman Hansen

Mogens Herman Hansen ( born August 20, 1940 in Frederiksberg ) is a Danish historian.

Hansen studied at the University of Copenhagen and taught there since 1968. He was from 1993 to 2005 head of the Copenhagen Polis Centre. He is regarded as " one of the best connoisseurs of Athenian history and constitution." In the book The Athenian democracy by Jochen Bleicken he is the most quoted modern historians. According Beat Naef he is "the greatest explorer of the Athenian democracy today ."
