Moges Taye

Moges Taye ( born November 12, 1973 in the province of Shewa ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner.

In 1996, he won the Rome Marathon. The following year, he was just there second and sixth at the Prague Marathon, but fell short at the IAAF 1997 World Championships in Athens the goal. End of the season he won the Istanbul Marathon.

In 1998 he won the first of Tiberias Marathon and was second in Rome and then presented as the winner of the Vienna City Marathon with 2:09:21 h his personal best. In Istanbul, he defended his title at the Fukuoka Marathon and he finished seventh. He finished second in Vienna in 1999 and won for the third time in a row in Istanbul.

A fourth place in Rome and a tenth place at the Berlin Marathon in 2000 was followed by a victory at the 2001 Venice Marathon and a second place at the Honolulu Marathon. Each third party in 2002 he was in Rome and Venice.

In 2003, he won for the second time in Tiberias and was third in the Turin Marathon. At the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis he had to give up, however, again.

The following year he won the Nagano Marathon and finished fourth in Prague. He finished third in Nagano and third in the 2006 Hong Kong Marathon 2005. In 2007 he came to Nagano on the sixth, 2008 to 14th place.

Moges Taye is 1.72 meters tall and weighs 54 kg. He is looked after by Demadonnathletics.
