Mohamed Badawi

Mohamed Badawi (born 1965 in Omdurman ) is a Sudanese linguist and publishing director, vocalist and composer and founder of the " Sudan Education Project ".

Life

Mohamed Badawi's family belongs to the followers of the Sufi Order of the Qadiriyyah. Badawi has lived in Europe since 1984. From 1984 to 1993 he studied French, Arabic, Theoretical Linguistics and German at the universities of Lyon and consistency. Following his studies, he received his doctorate in 1997 at the University of Konstanz in the Department of Linguistics. He currently lives with his family in Constance. He is the author of several Arabic textbooks and editor of the As- Sabil anthologies for the cultural pluralism that deal with culture and religion of the Arab world. He is also the owner of " Badawi artes afro arabica " publisher.

Music

Mohamed Badawi is founder, composer and singer of the band groups Badawi, sofa and El Nour Ensemble. In addition to singing, he also plays oud. In musical projects he worked with, among others Hubl Greiner and the Southwest German Philharmonic.

" Sudan Education Project "

Mohamed Badawi is also the founder of the " Sudan Education Project ". On one hand, he drew up a scheme establishing a European university in Greater Khartoum, the " Nihal European University ". On the other hand, street children are promoted by music lessons are given to them.
