Mohamed Kallon
Mohamed Kallon Ajay ( born October 6, 1979 in Kenema ) is a Sierra Leonean football player. He plays the position of striker.
Career
Mohamed Kallon started his career with the Sierra Leonean club Old Edwardians before he had joined as a teenager in Lebanon to Tadamon Sur Club and to Sweden Spånga IS. For the 1995/96 season on loan Kallon moved to Switzerland for FC Lugano in the National League A. Previously, he signed as a 16- year-old a 7 -year contract with Inter Milan. The club loaned him in the following year at six different clubs from before he made it to the squad of Inter. So Kallon moved to the 1997/98 season with FC Bologna in the Italian Serie A, but here he could not enforce. Therefore, he still moved in the same season in the Serie B for Genoa. In Genoa he made the jump to the basic formation and scored a total of ten goals.
At the end of the season Kallon returned to Serie A for Cagliari Calcio. Here he was able for the first time to compete in the highest Italian league. In the following two seasons, he played for Reggina Calcio and Calcio Vicenza, where he belonged respectively to the root formation and could be regularly entered in the scoresheet. Because of its gates to Kallon recommended for its real giants Inter Milan. Here he benefited from an injury of star striker Ronaldo and he was a regular in his first season for use. In the following two seasons, he only barely played, the emerging Obafemi Martins usually got the nod. On 27 September 2003 Kallon tested positive for doping agent nandrolone, after which he was suspended for six months.
For the season 2004 /05 he moved to AS Monaco. In his first season in Monaco, he was a regular player and scored eleven goals. Nevertheless, Kallon was borrowed for the 2005/ 06 season to Saudi Arabian club Al- Ittihad. Al -Ittihad, he helped his goals to win the AFC Champions League. For the season 2006/ 07 Kallon returned to the squad of Monaco. In August 2007, his contract was dissolved in Monaco. In November 2007, he signed a preliminary contract with Saudi Arabian club Al- Hilal, the transfer was not completed. In January 2008 he transferred to Greek giants AEK Athens, but was dismissed again in the end of season and moved to the United Arab Emirates to Al Shabab. After a brief stint in his native Sierra Leone Kallon FC he played from 2010 at the Chinese club Shaanxi Chanba. In the spring of 2012 returned to Kallon FC and played with his team in March as team captain the CAF Confederation Cup.
