Mohammad Mamle

Mamle Muhammad ( Kurdish: Mihemedî Mamlê; * 1925 in Mahabad, Iran, † January 13, 1999 ) was a Kurdish musician and singer from Iran, who specialized in traditional folk songs.

Life

He took folk songs on new and published them. Apart from that he gave small concerts and often sang in the circle of his friends. Due to his political activities Mamle frequently been detained by the Iranian government. Mamle died in 1999 and was buried at the Budak Sultan cemetery.

Mamle is worshiped by the inhabitants Mahabads. Other members of the Mamle clans are active musically.
