Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Arabic: محمد بن زايد آل نهيان, DMG Muḥammad b Zāyid Al Nahyan, . * 1961) is a son of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. As Emir he comes first in the ranking of the regency after his brother Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the current rulers of the United Arab Emirates.

Shaykh Muhammad is General and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and advisors of his older brother, the President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He has a seat at the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, which is responsible for planning and development in Abu Dhabi and is a member of the Supreme Petroleum Council, which is responsible for all petroleum - related matters in the country. He is the CEO of state-owned investment fund Mubadala Development Company.

Mohammed is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (1979). There he learned how to deal with airplanes and helicopters, and parachuting.
