Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi

Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi is a Saudi- Ethiopian entrepreneur and billionaire.

Life

Al Amoudi was born the son of an Ethiopian mother and a Yemeni father in Ethiopia. There he spent his childhood and youth, until he emigrated at age 19 to Saudi Arabia and took the Saudi nationality. Al Amoudi is married to Sofia Saleh Al Amoudi and lives in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. He has eight children.

According to estimates by Forbes magazine Al Amoudi is on the list of richest people in the world with an estimated fortune of 12.5 billion U.S. dollars (March 2012 ) the 61st place. He would thus be the richest person in Ethiopia and the second richest Saudi nationals worldwide. Al Amoudi owns a broad portfolio of business and corporate investments. These are essentially concentrated ( known as Midroc ) in two holding companies, Corral Petroleum Holdings and Mohammed International Development Research and Organization Companies. He is also the owner of the famous Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa.
