Mohammed Murad Ghaleb

Muhammad Murad Ghalib ( born April 1, 1922 in Ostägypten, † 18 December 2007) was an Egyptian ambassador and foreign minister.

Life

Murad Ghalib was the son of Mourad Ghalib. He married in 1953 Shourkreya Ali Muhammad, they had two children. Ghalib grew up in Heliopolis.

From 1956 headed Ghalib the office of Gamal Abdel Nasser. This sent him in July 1960, Patrice Lumumba. With the United Nations Operation in the Congo, a contingent of the United Arab Republic had come to the Democratic Republic of Congo. On September 13, 1960, the VAR quota declared it considers the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo as the only authority that would have the right to control the land and withdrew from the United Nations Command. In November 1960, Ghalib was expelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Al -Ahram claimed that the expulsion was occasioned by the Belgian Government, and Joseph Kasavubu and called Mobutu Sese Seko as dolls that moved according to the Belgian finger plays.

From July 12 1961 to 1971 he was first Ambassador of the United Arab Republic, and after its dissolution in 1962, Egypt's Ambassador in Moscow. From 17 January to 8 September 1972, he was Egyptian Foreign Minister.
