Mohel

A mohel (plural: Mohalim mask or Mohelot fem ) is a professional who the Brit Mila, male circumcision according to Jewish custom takes place. The training to take several years and takes place eg in large schools in Israel.

In addition to a fold known integral formation for the Brit Mila morally high standards are applied to Mohalim: Only those who have proven to be an impeccable lifestyle and meets the halachic commandments can perform Jewish perspective circumcisions.

According to the Central Council of Jews in Germany (2012 ) practicing in Germany four clipper, which have a technical as well as a religious education. Trained they were abroad.

At European level, there is the Union of Mohalim founded in 2013 in Europe ( Union of Mohalim in Europe, UME ), based in Vienna.
